Weekend Fun!!

So last weekend I was in San Diego for the Far West Athletic Trainers Association annual meeting. I went with a co-worker and friend, Allison. She went to college in the area, so we were looking forward to visiting some old stomping grounds of hers.

We had a great time in San Diego, I got to meet a lot of Allison's professors and colleagues from Point Loma, and the conference was pretty good too. We had some serious weather Friday, but overall it was great. Had a good time with my friend. Though, I will say hotel beds are not as comfy when 6 months pregnant.

Kevin brewed some beer while I was gone, his Friday the 13th brew Camp Blood. He enjoyed his lazy weekend alone I think.

Yesterday we celebrated Allison's birthday at her house, that was lots of fun. We had a pool party/BBQ. Some of our co-workers came and partied it up, while I enjoyed my lemonade.

Hi Drew!

So today Kevin went off with our cigar buddies to have some man time with them, and smoke his cigars, which he doesn't get to do very often anymore. I'm having Sushi lunch with some girls today, very excited about that. Don't worry, I know what I can and can't eat.

In other exciting news, today is the first day of my third trimester, and marks 3 months to go! Jackson is celebrating by rockin and rollin today.

Quickie post

Hey guys, don't have time or energy tonight to do a real blog. Just wanted to update. Had our follow up ultrasound today. Everything looks fabulous, the little guy is now head down like he should be, his kidneys are just the right size, still a boy, and everything measures perfect. Little guy is measuring big right now (are we surprised) and today his Est Due Date is July 14. I'm still sticking with July 22 and a big baby.

Nesting, Friends and Easter

Sorry it has been so long since I've blogged!! I planned on blogging last week, but you know how things go sometimes.

So last weekend we celebrated one of my best good friends and her soon to be here Abigail. I am SO excited to finally meet this little girl, and that Jackson will have a fast friend to grow up with (and so I have someone to call that is 9 weeks ahead of me when I'm freaking out!!)

Kevin and I inherited some bookshelves from his mom recently, and we decided to use them in Jackson's room. They were in need of refinishing, so we wanted to paint them with some fun colors to add some interest to his nursery, since we have decided not to paint. Since we finally got the rooms all cleared out, we figured it was time to do that. Kevin has been working on sanding them down (he got a new electric sander out of the deal)

While he was sanding away yesterday I was working on getting the garage cleared out so we had room to paint, and to move in our secondhand stuff my mom got for us so it can air out and we can clean it all. Finally got that all done today, and between yesterday and today we got the bookshelves painted, here they are in Jackson's room.


Thinking we might need an area rug to cover up the hated green carpet....any ideas?

We went to my mom's house today for Easter with the family. Kaitlyn wanted to go swimming, since it was finally a nice weekend. So even though it was freezing, she got in the pool.

We had a good day today. Kaitlyn wished Jackson a happy Easter. She's getting less shy about talking to the belly, it's pretty cute. I'm starting to move like a pregnant lady, a little waddle going on, the belly is pretty out there. Here is last Friday...



I'm heading down south for a conference next week, that should be a good time. I have a feeling I'm going to be the designated driver for the weekend. At least Diana, my other preggie friend, will be there too. I plan on taking lots of photos, so we'll get those up to you next week. Till then!!
